The results of the 29th annual West Coast Wine Competition, under the auspices of Vineyard & Winery Services, Inc., are in: Bogle's 2010 Sauvignon Blanc took Best White and Scheid Vineyards' 2008 Pinot Noir took Best Red, as well as Best of Show. Of the 1,100 wines entered, 128 won gold medals, 416 won silver, and 330 won bronze. The wines were judged at the storied Villa Chanticleer, in Healdsburg, CA, overseen by Vineyard & Winery Service's seasoned back-room staff and led by the highly respected Bill Traverso, Chairman, West Coast Wine Competition. 

About West Coast Wine Competition

This traditional wine competition continues its mission of awarding medals to outstanding west coast wines.

What wines are eligible?
Entrants may only submit wines produced in Baja, California; British Columbia, Canada; Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Best of Class/Best of Show
Your wine could be "best"! Beyond the regular medals, additional awards are given for Best White, Best Red, Best Rosé/Blush, Best Dessert & Late Harvest (including Ice Wine), Best Sparkling Wine, Best of Show

Top-Notch Judges
An esteemed panel of judges include top journalists, winemakers, distributors, restaurant sommeliers, and other industry elite as well as media and marketers of wine, many of whom make direct use of awards results in their purchasing and marketing decisions.
